Manage trips

🧠Context

Trips are at the core of your catalog. They are standard itinerary templates that you use as a basis to build client offers.

A trip is made up of steps (days, accommodations, flights, etc.). When creating an offer, these trips can easily be adapted: adding or removing days, modifying steps, adjusting the number of participants, and more.

This approach allows you to quickly create tailor-made offers while benefiting from automatic budgeting.

Create and maintain reusable trips (itinerary templates) to speed up the creation of tailor-made offers, with automatic budgeting and significant time savings.

🧭 Where can you find this feature?

To create, edit, or delete trips, go to the Trips tab. There you will find the list of existing trips and be able to manage them easily.

If the Trips tab does not appear, it means you do not have the required permissions to manage trips. In this case, contact a team member with administrator rights so they can adjust your permissions.

🛠️ Step by step

Follow these steps to create or edit a trip:

  1. Open the Trips tab in the Catalog section of the menu.
  2. Select an existing trip to edit it, or click New trip to create a new one.
  3. Enter or check the trip information:
    • Name: name of the trip
    • Owner: select the user responsible for the trip
  4. Save your changes.
  5. Add or edit the offer associated with the trip by clicking Link an offer or directly on the linked offer.
  6. When adding an offer, you can:
    • Use information from an existing trip
    • Use an existing quote
    • Create a new offer from scratch
  7. Once the offer is linked, you can modify the trip elements as needed (see the page “Edit a travel offer”).
  8. After updating the travel offer, you can reuse it to create priced offers for your clients.

  • Regularly update your trip catalog.
  • Use clear and descriptive trip names to make searching easier in Caladeo.
