Catalogue management

Manage products

3 min read Mis à jour 16 May 2026

Context

Products represent the pricing elements that make up your Steps and, consequently, your travel Quotes. These could be, for example, a restaurant dinner, a guide for 4 hours, a double room in a hotel, a local tax, a flight, or a sightseeing reservation fee.

Each product is linked to a Supplier and configured according to a specific calculation mode (per participant, per child, per adult, fixed rate, etc.). It is also possible to define rates by period.

Products form the basis of automatic Quote budgeting. Once created and associated with Steps, they allow automatic budget calculation for Quotes and save considerable time when creating new Proposals for your clients.

Objective

Create and configure products (accommodation, flight, transfer, activities, meals, guide, etc.) to associate them with Steps and enable automatic Quote budgeting, based on the number of participants and travel dates.

Where to find this feature ?

To create, modify or delete products, go to the Products tab, accessible from the Catalogue section of the menu.

If the Products tab does not appear, this means you do not have the necessary rights to manage products. In this case, contact the person on your team with administrator rights so they can adjust your permissions.

Step-by-step

Here are the steps to create or modify a product:

  1. Open the Products tab in the Catalog section of the menu.
  2. Click on New product or select an existing product.
  3. Complete or modify the product information:
    • Supplier: who provides the product
    • Destination
    • Activity (if applicable)
    • Internal name: name displayed in Caladeo and used in searches
    • Public name: name displayed on quotes intended for your clients
    • Product type: used mainly for filters
    • Quantity type: allows you to calculate the product total based on the number of adults, children, etc.
    • Comment: internal information useful when creating quotes
  4. Save the changes.

Once the product is created, you must add pricing periods to define the product prices according to the different periods.

  1. Click on Add a pricing period.
  2. Fill in the period information:
    • Name
    • Date range
    • Purchase price
    • Selling price
  3. Save the pricing period.

💡 You can create as many pricing periods as needed for the same product.
