Manage steps

Steps are used to structure a travel offer by breaking it down into key components. A step can represent a day in the itinerary, a flight, accommodation, or a transportation service.
Each step is linked to a destination, a theme, and a step type. Steps form the foundation for quickly adjusting your offers (adding, removing, or modifying elements). A clear step structure ensures itinerary readability and makes it easier to create tailor-made offers.

Create and edit steps in order to clearly structure your travel offers and enable quick updates, even for the most complex itineraries.
🧭 Where can you find this feature?
To create, edit, or delete steps, go to the Steps tab, accessible from the Catalog section of the menu.
If the Steps tab does not appear, it means you do not have the required permissions to manage steps. In this case, contact a team member with administrator rights so they can adjust your permissions.
🛠️ Step by step
Follow these steps to create or edit a step:
- Open the Steps tab in the Catalog section of the menu.
- Click New step or select an existing step.
- Fill in the step information:
- Step type (Accommodation, Program, etc.)
- Associated destination
- Internal name: name displayed in the Caladeo application
- Public name: name displayed on your quotes and travel offers
- Save your changes.
Once the step has been created, you can:
- Add additional information depending on the selected step type (daily itinerary, step description, highlights, etc.)
- Link products to the step (strongly recommended for automatic offer budgeting)
⚠️ Good to know
- Create your steps in a way that allows them to be easily reused when modifying travel offers.
- Make sure the destination is correctly linked to ensure filter consistency.
- Don’t forget to associate products with steps so your offers can be automatically budgeted based on the number of participants and travel dates.
